we’re going to talk about that problem
my patients face when they get up to the
table and it’s time to eat a meal and
they doubt themselves. They look at it
and they think, “do I really need to eat
all of this, do I really need to add this
one extra piece, do I REALLY need
this, how does it feel in my stomach…
I think I feel too full,” and they start
to cut corners. It’s so tempting, but it
can really lead you down the pathway
towards relapse. Here’s what I tell my
patients: let your dietitian be your

dietitian. So if your dietitian has asked
you to eat this for a certain meal — eat
it. All of it. In the moment,
don’t let that anorexia or bulimia or
binge eating disorder voice second-guess.
