Hi this is Tim from hiitworkouts.tv and today
we’re going to be covering the topic of how many calories does it take to equal one pound
and how does that relate to weight loss. To answer that question a pound is roughly 3500
calories. Now, why this is important to know is because based on that knowledge, you can
calculate how many calories per day that you need to subtract from your diet in order to
lose a pound. For instance, 3500 calories divided by seven days of the week equals 500
calories. So this 500 calories… If we subtract 500 calories from your current diet every
single day you would lose one pound in one week. So, 500 calories times 7 days equals
one pound. If you are going to lose 2 pounds in a week, you would simply double this number.
1000 calories times 7 days equals 2 pounds. It is not advisible that you lose any more
weight than 2 pounds in a week. If you have some serious weight issues and you are looking
to possibly lose weight faster, please consult a doctor before doing so. It’s very important
that you do that. Losing more than 2 pounds in a week can be very dangerous on your body.
so anyway. I hope this video has been helpful. If you would like to get some more information,
